I finally found a career I want to do with my counseling job. The reason I was somewhat stressed was because the masters degree I am currently getting will not license me as a counselor. Because of this, it left me slightly puzzled as to what I could do. My degree is more pastoral counseling than clinical. Anyways, what I have decided is to get my masters in counseling, along with my certification in drug and alcohol counseling. The good thing is that the courses are very short. For instance, if a course was 14 hours it would take 2 days to complete it with 7 hours each day. I can get my certification in Denver which is even better. I'll try to start as soon as I can. I have always found addictions and alcohol dependency interesting so I think this will suite me well.
