Life has been filled with homework and papers these past few weeks. School has gotten busier and busier as the semester has progressed. I guess, it was the calm before the storm before the first few weeks. It was similar to Moody. I just left the library after working on some terms for church history (I've got a mid-term on Wednesday) and some reading as well. I'm going to call my friend from back home at around 2:00 so I can complete my 2nd interview for my Human Development Class.
Anyways, enough of school talk.
I've lately been seeing such a striving and longing in my heart for obedience and surrender. The Lord is showing me what that truly means, and how it is a difficult thing sometimes. I know that is what the Lord requires of me is my obedience and submission to Him. I long for that daily and am pursuing that with all my heart. I am thankful that God is a God who is faithful and does not give up on us. Amen to that?
It looks like Thanksgiving and Christmas are almost around the corner. That is hard to believe! This year is the first year I won't be going home for Thanksgiving, but I'll be there for Christmas for sure. I do miss my friends back home and pets of course. I'm making friends and connections here, so that is a good thing.

Hooray for the weekend! I guess I can't cheer too much. I've got two midterms to study for on Monday along with many other school-related work to accomplish. I'm currently in the library at school studying for these two test. I'll be attending a seminar at 1:00pm called, "Jesus, Prozac, and Freud." Doesn't that sound interesting? I think it is basically a seminar on anxiety. It sounds interesting, plus it counts towards my continuing education hours that I have to earn. Looks like the high on Sunday is going to be 41 with some light snow and rain. TTYL.

Lots of homework

So, be praying for me this week if you happen to think of me. I've got LOTS of homework and studying to do. Midterms are next week, so that means I have to start studying like a madman. On top of that, I've got a couple of meetings and papers that need to be finished. Looks like I better get started. Sorry for the short post, but work awaits!!

Another week...

It looks like another week of school and other activities are going to begin. School is going alright, but there is always so much to be done everyday. This past weekend, I tried to rest and relax a bit instead of always "in the grind" of things. I ended up traveling once again, to the library to study for my human development quiz (which I didn't do so hot on). I just got done reading for my New Testament quiz which is tomorrow. Yikes!
I went to Trailhead Church again tonight. I really do love that church. The worship music was great, along with the sermon that was preached. The pastor spoke on a chapter in Luke about "out of the heart the mouth speaks." It was so convicting and yet one of those things that is difficult to look at inside yourself. There was a moment of silence before he proceeded, and the Lord defiantly convicted me on certain areas in my life that need repair and restoration. Needless to say, I valued greatley from the service itself. I will also be joining a small group this coming week with a group of people from the church. That in itself is exciting.
Anyways, I guess that's all I've got for now.

School/ Homework

So, the school work and homework is piling up as the year continues. I swear, sometimes I think all the professors get together and make a scheme to drown all the students in school work? Hmmm... It's probably unlikely, but that's how it feels sometimes. I am glad tomorrow is the beginning of the week. Maybe i'll get some needed R.R. , but I'll see how that turns out. Usually, I have enough school work and such to keep me busy throughout the weekend so there isn't much rest involved. I heard on the weather that there is a possibility of snow on Sunday? What the crap is that! Anyways, enough rambling. Later.
